- A REALTOR is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors and the Suburban West Association of Realtors. One of the provisions for membership is an allegiance to a strict Code of Ethics and oversight by the PA State Commission.
- Time-honored principles and baseline principles derived from the collective experiences of REALTORS since inception in 1913. They include: Loyalty to clients, Fiduciary (legal) Duty to clients, Cooperation with competitors, Truthfulness in statements and advertising and non-interference with other realtor/client relationships.
- To earn a Certification or Designation, a REALTOR must take additional advanced course work and demonstrate specific skills, performance and knowledge in a particular area of the real estate industry.
